These additional terms (“Contractor Terms”) apply to all roofing contractors and solar installers (“Contractors”) who subscribe to or are listed on RoofMechanics.com (“the Platform”).
By registering, subscribing to, or using any part of the Platform, Contractors expressly agree to the following:
Contractors understand and agree that they are not employees, agents, or legal representatives of RoofMechanics.com. Contractors operate as independent businesses and are solely responsible for the performance, safety, legality, and quality of their services.
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to create any partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship between RoofMechanics.com and any Contractor.
All Contractors must:
Maintain active and valid licenses to perform roofing or solar work in every jurisdiction in which they operate
Hold appropriate general liability insurance and workers’ compensation insurance where required
Immediately notify RoofMechanics.com if any license, certification, or insurance is suspended, revoked, expired, or otherwise invalid
Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and industry standards
RoofMechanics.com reserves the right to request proof of licensing and insurance at any time and may suspend or terminate any listing if such documentation is not provided or is out of date.
To maintain a professional and trustworthy environment, Contractors must:
Maintain an average public review rating of at least 3.5 stars across major online platforms (such as Google, Yelp, Angi, or BBB)
Make a good faith effort to resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
Avoid any dishonest, fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive business practices
Respond to leads and inquiries from users of RoofMechanics.com promptly and courteously
RoofMechanics.com may remove or suspend any Contractor who receives multiple verified complaints, fails to maintain an adequate public reputation, or demonstrates a pattern of poor service or unprofessional conduct.
Contractors acknowledge that being listed on RoofMechanics.com does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or certification by RoofMechanics.com.
The Platform does not independently verify the quality, safety, or legality of Contractor work beyond documentation and public information available. It is the sole responsibility of users to evaluate and vet any Contractor before hiring.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Contractors agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RoofMechanics.com, its owners, affiliates, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to:
Bodily injury, property damage, or financial loss allegedly caused by Contractor’s work or negligence
Contractor’s failure to comply with laws, regulations, codes, or licensing requirements
Alleged breaches of warranty or service guarantees
Allegations of fraud, misrepresentation, or illegal business practices
Disputes with clients or third parties arising from services rendered by Contractor
This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of Contractor’s relationship with the Platform.
By completing the relevant forms on the Site, you agree to share your personal information with roofing contractors or solar installers who can provide you with quotes for their services.
Under no circumstances shall RoofMechanics.com be liable for:
Any damages arising from the services provided by Contractors
Any disputes between Contractors and users, including but not limited to payment disputes, contract issues, or alleged breach of agreement
Loss of business, income, or reputation resulting from being listed, suspended, or removed from the Platform
Contractors agree that their sole remedy in the event of a dispute with RoofMechanics.com is the cancellation of their subscription and removal from the Platform.
RoofMechanics.com may suspend or permanently remove any Contractor from the Platform at its sole discretion, with or without cause or notice, particularly for:
Failure to maintain proper documentation or credentials
Verified customer complaints or public misconduct
Violations of these Contractor Terms
Conduct that reflects poorly on the integrity or reputation of the Platform
Violate any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the functioning of the Site or Services.
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information via the “Get a Quote” form or any other services on the Site.
Use the Site to promote any illegal or unauthorized activity.
Harass, abuse, or harm other users or contractors using the Site.
Spam, solicit, or misuse the “Get a Quote” feature for purposes other than obtaining roofing or solar quotes.
RoofMechanics.com reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
These Contractor Terms may be updated at any time. Changes will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon posting. Continued participation in the Platform constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
These Contractor Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any legal disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to binding arbitration in the State of Wyoming in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
